october? already?

Do you ever have a couple of months that are so busy that when it's all over it feels like you've actually been swimming the whole time? I've definitely been feeling like that lately.

In the past month and a half, we have:

-left our lovely, albeit cold flat in the city

-bought a house (!!!) in the suburbs

-bought a very fluffy and adorable kitten

his name is Hamish, since he's a Scottish Siberian cat

-gotten a housemate in the form of my former flatmate

All this on top of the normal working life! It's amazing we're still standing and speaking coherently, I think. Hopefully now that we've actually done the moving part things should settle down a bit. I'm looking forward to getting things more organized around here and start the decorating process. I've also had two very dear friends get engaged to their respective other halves, which fills me with joy. You know when you hear good news about people you love, how you're just so genuinely pleased for them? That's pretty much how I feel.

Anyway, that's the latest on my end. It seems the year is just picking up speed, especially now that we're reaching the last couple of months of 2015. What are your autumns looking like?
