Another Sunday, another week gone by. Time is flying! It's only a short three weeks until I go on adventures in London with my best friend, and I am counting down the days with a hearty dose of incredulity. I'm pretty sure we agreed to go yesterday and now it's already here? Say whaaaat.

+ Spent my Sunday afternoon making these cinnamon rolls--great if you have a craving and don't want to make a big batch. Mine weren't vegan and I had some trouble getting them to rise in our cold basement flat, but they tasted great all the same!

+ You could not pay me enough money to drive on this roundabout made of roundabouts.

+ Catzooka, anyone?

+ The amazing Katherine Johnson, who worked for NASA as a mathematician. They even had her check the computer's calculations.

Since I've got this weekend getaway coming up, I'm looking for your best London tips! Any can't-miss restaurants or favorite secret gems? Help a girl out in the comments below :)

  1. I gasped when I saw that roundabout. I just moved to NZ from AZ and driving on the wrong side of the road is bad enough but throw in a roundabout or two? Good lord. My favorite place in London is the Rose Garden in Hyde Park! The whole garden is amazing this time of year. Kinda touristy, but the Churchill War Rooms are really cool. It's easy to spend a few hours there listening to all the narratives. The Breakfast Club used to be a hidden gem, but it's starting to become popular. So if you can, head over there before it loses its cozy little hidden gem feel!

    1. I will definitely have to give the Rose Garden a visit! And the Churchill War Room sound amazing for a history geek like me. :) Is NZ as amazing as it looks in photos? I'm dying to go for a visit!!

  2. Hi Mary,
My name is Natalie Sullivan and I'm casting an international travel show about expats moving abroad. We'd love to film in Scotland and wanted to know if you could help us find expats who have moved there within the last 15 months or have been there for 3-4 years, but recently moved into a new home. The show documents their move to a new country and will place the country in fabulous light. The expats on the show would also receive monetary compensation if they are filmed. They must also speak English fluently and can be buyers or renters for their homes. If you'd like more information, please give me a call at 212-231-7717 or skype me at natalieesullivan. You can also email me at Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! It's well and truly appreciated. :)
