This is approximately how I have felt for the past week and a half as I finally wrote that paper that I should have written last month.

And guess what?

Do you know what that means? It means I am going to have a nice, relaxing dinner with a nice, relaxing glass of whiskey. Or seven. It means I'm going to quiz night, which is our Wednesday night tradition. And tomorrow, I will edit this awful paper and turn it in. I have had a week of my brain turning to mush and slowly dripping out of my ears.

I couldn't have written it without my new best friend, Self Control. I can't believe I didn't discover this program in would have been so useful. Basically, you create a blacklist of websites that you need to stop visiting in order to get your work done. Mine has facebook, twitter, blogger, and pinterest on it. You set the timer, and presto! You can't access those websites, but you can still access the rest of the internet. Once the timer is set, nothing will undo it--not deleting the program or shutting down your computer. You just have to wait for the timer to run out. There are a couple other options out there for non-Mac users, Cold Turkey being one of them.

I don't know how I survived without it. You're welcome, fellow students.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I think I hear some whiskey calling my name.
