It's beginning to look a lot like...

Some post-grad students went a little wild with the homemade cider and had a paper snowflake making contest.
Not that it was a contest. We all bow to Megan's superiority.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, that means Christmas can start! I've been excited for the Christmas season for weeks now. I bought our tree off of Amazon at the beginning of November. There was even a special trip to Ikea for decorating supplies.
Oh, yeah. I love Christmas. I guess part of it is that I'll be here for the holidays this year, and it'll be my first year not being at home. I need to do everything in my power to make this feel like Christmas.
And so I called a paper snowflake-making party. I heated up some apple juice with a cinnamon stick, we added some whiskey, and got to work.

Typical.

We decided to hang them up across my kitchen.

Megan made us all Christmas hats to wear.

I don't know what's happening here, but I like it. Also, please notice Megan's penguin jumper--I made Sam and Megan buy Christmas jumpers with me when we saw them in Primark last month. I have a reindeer, Megan obviously has a penguin, and Sam has Santa.
There will be Christmas cards.

I look stupid here, but I love boyfriend's face in this picture.

Up next, a moderately failed trip to Edinburgh!
